Fitzpatrick Statement on H.R. 9770 and H. Con. Res. 113

End the war. Pay our troops. Fund our government. Oppose any and all pay raises for elected officials. This should be the unequivocal position of every elected official in America.

I will continue to follow the law and will vote to enforce the War Powers Act of 1973, and I will support any clean resolutions following the statutory 60-day time period.

I will vote to continue to pay our troops, provide them with protective and defensive equipment, and ensure that our national defense inventory remains at safe levels.

I will continue to fund our government, oppose any and all government shutdowns, and ensure that all of our federal workers are always paid. And, I will always oppose any and all pay raises for elected officials. No exceptions.

Every single vote that I cast will reflect these basic, incontrovertible truths. And I call on all elected officials to do the same.
