Ambassador of Belarus Y.Seliverstov presents copies of Credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia

On January 27, 2026 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Yury Seliverstov, presented copies of his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Galuzin.

The parties highly appraised the achieved level of Belarusian-Russian strategic partnership and the successes of Union State building. They noted the dynamics and productivity of the dialogue at all levels, for which the heads of state set a high standard.

They emphasized the effectiveness of cooperation between the Belarusian and Russian foreign ministries, including within the framework of ministerial visits, joint board meetings, and inter-ministerial consultations.
The sides agreed to continue regular contacts regarding the development of the Program of Agreed Actions in the field of foreign policy of the states parties to the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State for 2027-2030, and the implementation of the Treaty on Security Guarantees within the framework of the Union State. Special attention was paid to joint efforts to promote the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the development of integration processes within the CIS, EAEU, and CSTO, and agreed on further coordination of activities within these structures.

The schedule of upcoming contacts at the highest and high levels was reviewed.

On the same day, Y. Seliverstov took part in a traditional meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, and the ambassadors of the CIS member states accredited in Russia. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary General of the CIS, Sergey Lebedev, and the heads of executive bodies of other Eurasian structures.
