Visit Dallas to Lead Sales Efforts for Fair Park Meetings and Event
New partnership brings destination marketing expertise to one of the city's most iconic venues
Dallas, Texas - Visit Dallas is proud to announce an agreement with the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department to provide sales and marketing services for Fair Park meetings and events. The two organizations have already begun working together under the new partnership.
The Visit Dallas team will book meetings and events across venues at Fair Park, while Dallas Park and Recreation will continue to service booked business, along with overseeing community engagement, event programming, campus partner promotion and relations and day-to-day park operations
"Fair Park is one of Dallas' greatest treasures - a historic landmark, a cultural gathering place and a source of pride for generations of residents," said Craig Davis, President and CEO of Visit Dallas. "We take this responsibility seriously, and we're honored to help steward and elevate a place that means so much to our city."
Over the past 12 months, the park department has invested over $6.5 million in cleanup and renovation to the space. These efforts are designed to improve ease of booking and enhance the overall guest experience at Fair Park, and customers are responding favorably to the additional investment in facilities and service.
"It is critical for our team to partner with an organization that has the expertise to help Fair Park reach its full potential as a meetings and events destination," said Brett Wulke, General Manager of Fair Park, a 277-acre historic landmark managed by Dallas Park and Recreation. "Visit Dallas' track record of bringing business and visitors to our city made them the right choice for this work, and we're looking forward to what this partnership will bring to Fair Park and the surrounding community."
Through its sales efforts, Visit Dallas aims to position Fair Park as a national venue, and contribute to Fair Park's growth as a year-round destination, honoring its legacy, strengthening its institutions, benefiting the surrounding community, and keeping it welcoming to all.
