All segments making a positive contribution; EBIT and margin in the third quarter above the previous quarter; full-year guidance confirmed
In the third quarter, the SYZYGY Group improved profitability despite a continued decline in sales. EBIT increased from EUR 0.2 million in the previous quarter to EUR 0.5 million, while the EBIT margin rose from 1.4 percent to 3.7 percent. The operating profit generated in the third quarter therefore exceeded the contribution from the entire first half of 2026, underlining the continued improvement in earnings over the course of the year.
The SYZYGY Group generated revenue of EUR 37.8 million in the first nine months of 2026, representing a year-over-year decline of 14 percent. At the same time, operating profit (EBIT) improved to EUR 0.9 million, compared with EUR 0.0 million in the prior-year period. The EBIT margin consequently increased to 2.4 percent.
The earnings performance demonstrates that the measures implemented to adjust the cost base and enhance operating efficiency are taking effect. Despite a persistently subdued market environment, all operating segments delivered positive EBIT contributions.
In the core German market, sales for the first nine months amounted to EUR 29.1 million, down 18 percent year-over-year. Operating profit increased to EUR 2.2 million from EUR 1.8 million in the prior-year period, resulting in an improved EBIT margin of 8 percent (prior-year period: 5 percent). Germany accounted for around 77 percent of Group sales.
In the United Kingdom and United States segment, sales for the nine-month period increased slightly by 1 percent to EUR 4.1 million. The segment generated operating profit of EUR 0.3 million, compared with a slightly negative result in the prior-year period; the EBIT margin reached 7 percent.
In the Poland segment, sales declined by 4 percent to EUR 4.7 million. Operating profit improved to EUR 0.3 million, with an EBIT margin of 7 percent, compared with 1 percent in the prior-year period.
Consolidated net income after taxes amounted to EUR 0.5 million, compared with EUR -0.2 million in the prior-year period. Earnings per share were EUR 0.04, compared with EUR -0.02. Operating cash flow improved to EUR -0.8 million from EUR -4.0 million in the prior-year period, but remained negative, primarily due to a reduction in liabilities. As at 30 September 2026, the Group had cash and cash equivalents of EUR 1.2 million. The equity ratio increased from 33 percent at year-end 2025 to 39 percent.
With a broader earnings base across all operating segments, a strengthened equity ratio and the improvement in operating cash flow, the SYZYGY Group has established important foundations for sustainable stabilisation. The focus remains on profitable new business, the further scaling of AI-enabled services and disciplined management of the cost and capacity base.
Despite the persistently challenging market environment, we improved profitability across all operating segments and strengthened the Group's earnings base. Our efficiency measures are taking effect. At the same time, we continue to make targeted investments in AI-powered services and remain focused on profitable growth.
The SYZYGY Group confirms its forecast for the 2026 financial year, with sales of around EUR 50 million and an EBIT margin of 3 to 4 percent.
