China and Viet Nam Hold the 13th Round of Consular Consultations

On October 30, 2025, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Long Zhou and Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam Doãn Hoàng Minh co-chaired the 13th round of consular consultations between China and Viet Nam in Chongqing. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on strengthening consular cooperation, facilitating cross-border travel, and safeguarding the safety and legitimate rights and interests of citizens and institutions.

Both sides agreed to implement the important common understandings reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, take more proactive measures to provide safer and more convenient conditions for travel between the two peoples, serve bilateral cooperation in various fields, further cement the foundation of public support for China-Viet Nam friendship, and contribute to the development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Viet Nam.
