Lifepoint Health Names Aaron Lewis President and Chief Operating Officer

Lifepoint Health today announced that Aaron Lewis has been appointed to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer. In this position, he will be instrumental in leading the next phase of Lifepoint's growth as the company continues to expand its footprint, build additional services across the continuum of care, and explore new ways to serve the needs of its communities nationwide. A national search for a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is underway.

Lewis brings two decades of hospital leadership experience across operations, finance and development to his new role. He joined Lifepoint in 2018 and has served as CFO for the company since 2024. As CFO, he oversaw all financial operations and healthcare finance leadership for Lifepoint. He also led information technology, innovation, development and Lifepoint's shared services structure, called Lifepoint Business Services. Prior to this role, Lewis was Executive Vice President, Growth and Integrated Solutions, a role in which he was responsible for overseeing growth and outreach, business transformation and physician services. He also served as Senior Vice President, Care Continuum and Business Transformation.

Prior to Lifepoint, Lewis, who began his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch, held several operations and development leadership roles at RCCH HealthCare Partners and Vanguard Health Systems. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Penn.

Lewis succeeds Jason Zachariah who served as Chief Operating Officer prior to his departure from Lifepoint this month.
