Uptown Parking Management Consultant RFP Issued

Marion has issued an Uptown Parking Management Consultant request for proposal, seeking a qualified and experienced consulting team to assist the city in managing the parking inventory located within the Uptown area, expanding on our Uptown Parking Study (2023). Uptown's commercial and residential activity has substantially increased over the past decade; which is a sign Marion is doing something right.

The 2023 Uptown Parking Study focused on the 'what', 'where', and a generalized 'how' related to parking giving us a good sense of our current capacity and utilization of public (on-street and off-street) parking and private parking. The Study did establish general strategies for managing our existing parking supply. The next step in the process is to dig deeper into the 'when' and 'how' for managing parking in Uptown through data-driven analysis, including implementation trigger criteria. The selected consultant will not only evaluate our current inventory but will prepare us for growth over the next 5-10 years.
