Pedestrian Critically Injured in Hit & Run CollisionPost Date:10/24/2025 11:00 AM TYPE OF INCIDENT: Hit & Run Collision with Major Injury DATE AND TIME OF INCIDENT: 10/23/25 at 10:09 PM LOCATION OF INCIDENT: Main St. and Orlando St., El Cajon, CA RESUME OF INCIDENT: On Thursday evening, a vehicle traveling westbound on Main Street struck a pedestrian who was crossing southbound. After the collision, the driver of the vehicle failed to stop and fled in the vehicle. The pedestrian, a 63-year-old female, was transported to the hospital with major injuries. Her identity is not being released at this time. Traffic Investigators identified the involved vehicle as a Hyundai Sonata. Later, officers located the vehicle parked unoccupied in a nearby neighborhood. The driver has not been located. The investigation is ongoing.
