Students and alumni filled the Martin Luther King Jr. Center on Oct. 22 for Bowie State University's Fall 2025 Career Fair, hosted by the Career Development Center. The event connected students with top recruiters and opened doors to new internship and career opportunities across diverse industries.
More than 60 organizations participated, including NASA, U.S. Department of State, Enterprise Mobility and Prince George's County Public Schools. Representatives shared insights on career pathways, hiring needs and strategies for success in today's job market.
"The Career Fair gave me a real sense of direction," said Rosalyn Alexander, a senior criminal justice major. "It was inspiring to meet so many employers who were genuinely interested in what Bowie State students have to offer. It made me more confident about my future after graduation."
James Isom, a sophomore criminal justice major, said the experience opened his eyes to the importance of early preparation. "Even though I'm still early in my college journey, hearing from professionals and learning what they're looking for motivated me to start preparing now," Isom said.
The Career Development Center offers resources year-round to help students refine their résumés, strengthen interview skills and connect with potential employers. Students can also schedule one-on-one advising appointments to receive personalized guidance and career planning support.
