True/False Film Fest announces community passes for low-income households

(COLUMBIA, MO)- Ragtag Film Society, in coordination with Columbia Parks and Recreation for the fourth consecutive year, are offering a limited number of complimentary pairs of Classic passes to the 2026 True/False Film Fest to residents of Columbia with a family household income of less than 185% of the poverty level.

As the operators of True/False, Ragtag is making the passes available. Parks and Recreation is accepting entry forms and handling public distribution through its administrative office.

To register for vouchers:

  • Online at 2026 True/False Film Fest Community Pass Entry Form
  • Via telephone by calling Columbia Parks and Recreation at 573.874.7460 during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • In person by visiting the Columbia Parks and Recreation office at 1 S. Seventh St. during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Registrations will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 6. Pass recipients can expect to be notified by Wednesday, Feb. 11.

Registration does not guarantee admission. Recipients will be selected in a random drawing by Columbia Parks and Recreation. It is ideal for winners to have access to the internet for communication about the pass and Fest, and to make ticket reservations (reservations open at 6 p.m. on Feb. 21).

There is a limit of one complimentary pass request per two people. A pair of passes includes two passes for two individuals. A pair gives the passholder the ability to link reservations. Passes are non-transferable. Registrants must be at least 18 to apply.

Winners must pick up their passes from the True/False Film Fest Box Office at Sager Reeves Gallery, 1025 E. Walnut St. Box office hours are as follows: Wednesday, March 4, noon to 8 p.m.; Thursday, March 5, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday, March 6, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 7, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, March 8, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

True/False Film Fest, a project of Ragtag Film Society, will take place March 5-8 in downtown Columbia. For more information, please visit truefalse.org, check our frequently asked questions, or contact: True/False Box Office Team: [email protected].
