NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (April 4, 2026) - The countdown to the FIFA 2026 World Cup is on, and New Brunswick is positioning itself as a premier destination for watch parties, as FIFA games will be played at MetLife Stadium.
The New Brunswick Development Corporation (DEVCO) has announced a series of major watch parties at The Yard, 40 College Ave. Matches will be broadcast on a massive 350-square-foot outdoor screen, transforming the 25,000-square-foot green space into a central fan zone.
Mayor Jim Cahill and DEVCO President Chris Paladino highlighted the event as a unique opportunity for residents, students, and international tourists to gather and celebrate.
Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the matches in a welcoming, high-energy environment. Local hotels and eateries are already gearing up for the global influx, eager to be part of the summer festivities. The first game at MetLife is on June 13 between Brazil and Morocco.
