Annual Compensation Increase & FY27 Key Dates

Annual Compensation Increase & FY27 Key Dates

June 5, 2026

The end of the fiscal year is fast approaching, which means a few important dates and reminders for pay and benefits.

Here's what to know as we transition into FY27.

Compensation Update
Eligible employees outside the CAUSE bargaining unit will receive a 3% compensation increase for FY27. Salary increases are applied in the first full pay period of the fiscal year. This year, that pay period is July 12-25, with changes reflected in the August 7, 2026 paycheck.

  • Employees on the salary grid will receive a three-step increase as part of their scheduled progression.
  • Employees at step 0, or at step 53 or higher, will receive a 3% base salary increase and be placed at step 0 if not already there
  • Employees not on the salary grid will also receive a 3% base salary increase

Pay & Benefits Dates and Deadlines

June 14-27 (R14)
Last pay period to use FY26 personal holiday leave. Personal holiday leave cannot be used during the pay period in which July 1 occurs.

June 28
FY27 benefit premiums begin. Premium changes will be reflected in the July 24 paycheck.

June 28-July 11 (R15)
Annual leave cap applied. Employees may use leave during this pay period before the cap is enforced at the end of the fiscal year.

July 12
First pay period to use FY27 personal holiday leave.

July 24
Payday for R15 at FY26 salary rates with FY27 benefit premiums applied.

August 7
Pay day for R16 with FY27 salary increases applied.

As in past years, some of these dates fall in the middle of a pay period, which can make timing feel a little different than usual. Thank you for your attention to these key dates and for your continued support during the transition to FY27.
