Families are invited to get outside and connect with nature through the GP Nature Club's free pop-up events happening across Grand Prairie parks.
From meeting live wildlife to learning outdoor survival skills and trying hands-on fishing activities, each event is designed to encourage exploration, education, and outdoor fun for all ages!
Wildlife Watch
Wednesday, May 13, 5-6:30 p.m.
Fish Creek Linear Park, 4513 Coventry Dr.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet live animals, examine skulls and animal tracks, and learn how Texas wildlife adapts and survives in natural environments.
Survival Skills
Wednesday, May 20, 5-6:30 p.m.
Mi Familia Park, 2402 Cardiff St.
Learn practical outdoor skills including knot-tying, water safety, basic first aid, and navigation techniques during this interactive program.
Fishing Fun
Wednesday, August 26, 5-6:30 p.m.
Mike Lewis Park, 2600 block of N. Carrier Parkway
Attendees can learn about local fish species and practice fishing skills with hands-on activities at the park.
All GP Nature Club events are free and open to the public. Residents are encouraged to bring the whole family and enjoy an evening of outdoor learning and adventure in Grand Prairie parks.
