WASHINGTON - In his first month on the House Committee on Appropriations, Congressman Jefferson Shreve (IN-06) secured more than $30 million in funding for Indiana's Sixth Congressional District.
The funding, included in the first five appropriations bills approved by the committee, supports public safety, military readiness, law enforcement, and local first responders across south central and eastern Indiana.
These measures have passed the House Appropriations Committee and await consideration by the full House and Senate before being signed into law.

"Securing this funding in my first month on Appropriations shows what's possible when Indiana has a seat at the table," said Congressman Shreve. "These investments will help keep our communities safe, support our service members, and give local law enforcement and first responders the tools they need to do their jobs well. I came to Congress to deliver for Indiana, and this is exactly the kind of work Hoosiers sent me here to do."
Congressman Shreve was recently appointed to the House Committee on Appropriations, making him the first Indiana Republican in 30 years to serve on the committee.
