The Tampa Water Department is inviting customers to participate in a brief survey aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of public perceptions about their drinking water. The seven-minute survey is now available online at tampa.gov/YourWaterYourVoice. Customers can share their opinions on the department's water quality, service reliability, and conservation initiatives.
By collecting customer feedback, the department hopes to strengthen its ability to respond to community needs and address customer concerns.
"Understanding how customers feel about their water is the first step to building trust-because a water utility can only reach people effectively when it listens first," said Rory Jones, Director of the Tampa Water Department.
This survey is part one of a two-step customer feedback initiative. In the coming weeks, the department will also host focus groups to explore survey responses in greater detail. Customers who complete the survey will have the opportunity to participate in these discussions.
To promote the survey's launch, Tampa Water Department employees will hold a kickoff event at City Center at Hanna Avenue this Friday, September 19 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Customers will be able to take the survey on the spot as well as learn more about Water Department programs and services. Those who take part in the survey can also enter into a raffle to win items such as gift cards and family fun packs.
All Tampa Water Department customers are encouraged to take part in the survey. Insights from both the survey and focus groups will play a key role in shaping future Water Department communication efforts and programs.
The survey is now available online at tampa.gov/YourWaterYourVoice
Deadline to complete the survey: October 17, 2025
