2025 Battle of the Bands event happens Saturday at Legacy Park Fest

Norman Parks & Recreation invites the community to gather for an evening of live music, local talent, and family fun at the annual Legacy Park Fest on September 13, 2025, at Legacy Park.

This free community event will feature a Battle of the Bands, showcasing some of Norman's most talented bands that will compete for cash prizes! The event will kickoff at 4 p.m. and music begins at 4:30 p.m. The event will wrap at 9 p.m.

The 2025 lineup includes the following bands, which will each play for no less than 30 minutes:

• LaserEye
• CAJ
• MIGUY And The Major Fifths
• Monte
• Ckai Dawson and the Xperience - Headliner and winner of the 2024 competition!
  

Along with outstanding live performances, attendees can enjoy food truck food and refreshing selections from two local breweries.

"We are looking forward to a day of community and tunes from great artists," said Recreation Manager Mitchell Richardson of the City of Norman. "The winning band will be selected by the audience so be sure to come out and help us determine who this year's champion will be!"

The event is hosted by Norman Parks & Recreation. Admission is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the lot north of the park, and attendees are encouraged to plan ahead as spaces may fill quickly.
