Statement from Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick on Threats of Violence Against Rep. Pramila Jayapal
"There is no place in our democracy for rhetoric that incites harm-especially from those elected to serve the public and uphold our Constitution.
"Political violence, in any form and against anyone, is a direct threat to our democratic values.
"Violence from elected officials? Not today, not ever. Leaders who promote violence are a threat, not an example. We don't accept threats. We stand together, speak out, and protect our democracy."
