Community invited to vote on new logo and visual identity

Published on January 16, 2026

NORTH PORT, FL - The City of North Port is inviting residents to take part in the next major step of its City Identity Refresh by voting on two proposed logo designs and accompanying color palettes for the updated North Port city logo.

Beginning Friday, Jan. 16, community members can share their feedback through an online survey that will remain open until 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30. In addition to the online option, residents may also vote in person at two locations during business hours:

  • North Port City Hall, 4970 City Hall Blvd.
  • North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, 14140 S Tamiami Trail.

The community survey follows a City Commission workshop held on Jan. 5, during which Commissioners reviewed branding research, community insights and logo and tagline concepts. At that meeting, two logo options were selected for further refinement and public input.

Feedback collected through the survey will be compiled and presented to the City Commission alongside updated messaging and tagline options. This information will support a final Commission vote scheduled for Feb. 10, when Commissioners will consider adoption of the new city logo, taglines, and overall visual identity.

"The North Port brand refresh is rooted in community voice," said Katya Sutherland, Marketing and Engagement Manager. "We've listened to our residents and businesses throughout this process, and this survey provides them with another meaningful opportunity to help shape how North Port is visually represented as we continue to grow and evolve."

Following Commission approval, the City will begin a fiscally responsible, phased transition to the new brand, with implementation planned throughout 2026. This measured approach ensures responsible use of public funds while allowing departments to gradually align materials, signage and communications with the updated visual identity.
