U.S.-based veterinary wholesale company streamlines planning, reduces inventory days of supply, and improves collaboration across operations
RELEX Solutions today announced that Covetrus, the first tech-enabled veterinary practice improvement company, has gone live with forecasting and replenishment capabilities from RELEX across their distribution centers (DCs). RELEX partnered with Demandtex to support this implementation.
Covetrus operates 28 DCs and manages over 10,000+ SKUs, serving veterinary practices across the U.S. The company is focused on streamlining business processes across Sales, Finance, Operations and Inventory to align the supply chain with their goals. As Covetrus has scaled its distribution network, the company sought to further advance its scenario and consensus planning capabilities to support more sophisticated demand forecasting and inventory management.
RELEX's AI-driven forecasting and replenishment capabilities reduce manual tasks, improve forecast accuracy for individual channels, and optimize inventory across Covetrus' distribution network. The platform's advanced scenario planning and collaborative features support Covetrus in reducing days of supply while maintaining service levels.
"We chose RELEX for their proven expertise in wholesale pharmacy and their ability to support transitions from legacy systems," said John Simonovich, Vice President Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Covetrus. "The scalable platform and strength in wholesale channel planning is instrumental in helping us streamline our operations and drive measurable improvements in forecast accuracy and inventory optimization."
"We are proud to partner with Covetrus on this important transformation journey," said Emre Şener, CEO, Demandtex. "Our focus is on designing a planning model that delivers measurable business impact, not just on implementing technology."
"We are pleased to support Covetrus as they transform their supply chain operations," said Doug Iverson, SVP, RELEX Solutions. "Our AI-driven platform supports Covetrus in advancing its planning capabilities and achieving its operational goals, while ensuring they can continue delivering exceptional service to veterinary practices nationwide."
