The President congratulated North Macedonia on its national holiday

On Monday, President Gitanas Nausėda congratulated President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova of the Republic of North Macedonia and the people of the country on their national holiday, Independence Day.

"This year, as we mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and North Macedonia, we can take pride in the friendly ties nurtured by our two countries, as well as in the fruitful exchange of experience and knowledge. I am confident that our bilateral dialogue and people-to-people contacts will continue to deepen and expand," reads the President's message.

According to the country's leader, Lithuania greatly values North Macedonia as a committed ally in NATO making a significant contribution to the strengthening of international security and supports North Macedonia's aspirations for the European Union integration

"I am confident that, united by common values - respect for democracy, the rule of law, and human rights - we will continue to stand together and, through joint efforts, support Ukraine in its fight against Russia's aggression," wrote Mr. Nausėda.

The President wished North Macedonia lasting security, peace and prosperity.
