Traffic Signal Installation on East Mohawk Boulevard and North Peoria Avenue to Begin Monday, May 18 2026

Beginning Monday, May 18, the City of Tulsa will begin a traffic signal installation project at the intersections of East Mohawk Boulevard and North Peoria Avenue near the Gilcrease Expressway.
The project will upgrade both Mohawk Boulevard intersections along North Peoria Avenue with new traffic signals to improve traffic flow and safety in the area. During construction, the intersections will continue operating under their current traffic control configuration.
Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution when traveling through the area.
The City of Tulsa contracted with TLS Group Inc. for the $677,000 project. Construction is expected to be completed in August 2026.
