Architecture designed for access control and security

The new ALMEC keypad has been developed to integrate seamlessly with next-generation security and access-control systems. Its electronics enable fast and secure management of settings, authorizations, and commands, making it ideal for vehicle fleets, operating machines, trailers, and professional equipment. The operating logic supports both stand-alone configurations and integrations with ECUs and onboard systems, ensuring maximum application flexibility.

Advanced and fully customizable HMI interface

The user interface is one of the key strengths of the new KEY-SEC.

The device includes:

• 14 backlit keys , designed for optimal use even in low-visibility conditions

• 2 single-color LEDs (red and green) for immediate feedback

• 1 configurable buzzer up to 60 dB

The combination of visual and acoustic signals allows operators to interact intuitively with the system, reducing errors and learning time.

Industrial-grade robustness for extreme environments

KEY-SEC is built with high-resistance materials, silicone and UL94 V0 polycarbonate , certified for industrial and automotive applications. Its structure is designed to withstand shocks, vibrations, thermal variations, dust, mud, weather exposure , and high-pressure washing .

The IP67 protection rating ensures complete waterproofing, making the device ideal for outdoor installations on vehicles, trailers, and machinery .

Reliable communication and compatibility with existing systems

KEY-SEC offers two communication protocols: RS232 (9600 8N1) and One-Wire 5V (standard). This dual option ensures easy integration with ECUs, control units, and electronic systems already installed on machines, reducing installation time and costs.

Easy installation and protected connections

The device features a cable with a Micro-Fit MOLEX connector for stable and protected connections, and wall mounting through three M3 threaded inserts (5 mm length).

Its compact dimensions (60 × 90 × 14 mm) allow installation even in tight spaces while maintaining excellent operational ergonomics.

Resistance to extreme environments and compliance with international standards

KEY-SEC is designed to operate across a wide thermal range , ensuring full functionality in extreme climatic conditions (-20 to +80 °C in operation and -40 to +80 °C in storage) . This makes it ideal for vehicles and equipment used in construction, agriculture, logistics, and outdoor environments.

The new ALMEC 2026 product also complies with international electromagnetic compatibility standards CE (EMC) and UKCA (EMC) , ensuring safety, reliability, and conformity with European and UK regulations.

Customization of the KEY SEC

The Waterproof Security Keypad can be fully customized to meet both industry and customer requirements, adapting to even the most demanding applications. Manage operator access rights remotely and enable equipment access directly on site via NFC, or RFID .
