Hudson Falls Man Arrested on Felony Rape and Child Endangerment Charges

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested Shannon J. Piper, age 46, of Hudson Falls, following an investigation into allegations involving a child under the age of 17. The investigation found that Piper engaged in sexual intercourse with the child on multiple occasions in August 2025 in the Town of Kingsbury.

Piper was charged with two counts of Rape in the Third Degree, both Class E felonies, and four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, all Class A misdemeanors. He was taken into custody on November 13, 2025, arraigned in Kingsbury Town Court, and held in lieu of bail pending further court proceedings.

The case was handled by Investigator M. Ashton and Deputy C. Albanese, with assistance from the Warren County Sheriff's Office and Saratoga County Sheriff's Office.
