The National Weather Service is warning the public of dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures and advises taking preventative measures to stay safe from heat-related illnesses.
Escaping the heat doesn't have to be a hassle!
- Stop by a Cool Zone
- Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water
- Keep pets and kids safe: Never leave them unattended in a vehicle
- Dress smart: Opt for loose-fitting, lighter-colored clothes
People in San Diego County unable to get to a Cool Zone location without transportation assistance, such as older adults, people with disabilities, or people who are homebound, can call 2-1-1 to be connected to a transportation or rideshare service.
