Mesa County - The Colorado Department of Transportation, in partnership with United Companies, will begin resurfacing operations on US 6 east of Fruita from Mile Point 20 to MP 26 on Sept. 13.
This project consists of asphalt resurfacing, guardrail repairs, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements, and pavement marking. These improvements will help maintain the integrity of the roadway and provide a smoother, safer ride for motorists.
Motorists can expect nighttime single-lane closures with flagging operations and alternating one-way traffic Sunday through Friday, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should plan ahead and expect delays.
The project is scheduled for completion in November.
