Q. How long have you worked at W&L?
I've worked at W&L for 28 years.
Q. What do you like most about working at W&L?
I love the students and faculty I work with.
Q. Where is your favorite location on the W&L campus?
I love walking down the Colonnade. W&L is a beautiful campus. I also love the University Chapel.
Q. Where did you grow up?
I was raised in Rockbridge County.
Q. What advice do you have for students or parents?
Surround yourself with trustworthy people and make good decisions, not ones you'll regret. And, there are always people you can talk to if you need advice or feel overwhelmed.
Q. What is the most adventurous thing that you have ever done?
I'm low-key, but having children is quite the adventurous thing to do.
Q. What's your favorite thing to do when you're not working?
I enjoy practicing the organ, cooking and spending time with my granddaughter, Natalie.
Q. If you could live anywhere, where would you build your dream home?
I would live right here in Rockbridge County - it's beautiful here. I've lived in other places, but they don't compare to Lexington.
Q. Who most inspires you?
My Daughter, Nicolette.
Q. What book are you reading now?
Right now, I am reading the Bible. I have reached the New Testament and am now starting with the Book of Luke.
Q. What music are you listening to these days?
That depends on my mood. I would say I mostly listen to classical music, but I also love the music of the 1970s.
Q. What is your favorite film (movie) of all time?
"Pretty Woman."
Q. What is the website you visit most often and why?
Oremus, Sing for Joy and Hymnsite. They help me with hymn suggestions for church.
Q. If you could have coffee with one person, who would it be and why?
My mom and my daughter, Katlyn, both of whom are deceased. I miss them terribly.
Q. What is your desert island food?
Steak and shrimp scampi.
Q. Tell us something most people don't know about you.
I am really quite the loner.
Q. What is your secret talent?
I'm not sure I have one. I used to be a singer, but as I've aged, my voice isn't like it used to be.
