Winnipeg, MB- At 9:27 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 500 block of Furby Street.
At the scene, crews found heavy flames and smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire using an offensive strategy. Firefighters used aerial ladders to spray water on the fire from above. Firefighters declared the fire under control at 11:13 p.m.
Paramedics assessed one firefighter on scene and no transportation to hospital was required.
The City of Winnipeg's Emergency Social Services team responded to provide temporary support for displaced residents.
The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
