Tickets now available for Legends of Soul Concert Weekend to Benefit Meals On Wheels

The City of Simi Valley Senior Center, in partnership with the Council on Aging, invites residents to a heartwarming weekend of music in support of the Meals On Wheels program. The event, titled Legends of Soul, offers two memorable shows featuring legendary artists from the 1960s through the 1980s whose timeless hits have defined generations. All proceeds will support the Senior Center's Meals On Wheels program, which continues to face critical funding shortfalls affecting meal deliveries to local homebound seniors. The festivities begin Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. with a soulful evening featuring Every Woman, starring Freddie Pool of The Three Degrees and Former Ladies of the Supremes; Hazel Payne, Grammy Award-winning artist from A Taste of Honey ("Boogie Oogie Oogie"); and Patryce "Choc'Let" Banks of Graham Central Station ("I Waited for Love"). On Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., Quadrasoul will take the stage. This ensemble features longtime members of The Fifth Dimension, including Patrice Morris, Sydney Jacobs, Floyd Smith Armstrong, and Shane Lawrence, who perform unforgettable renditions of classics such as "Up, Up and Away" and "Aquarius." Both concerts will be held at the Santa Susana Performing Arts Center in Simi Valley, a newly available, state-of-the-art venue. In addition to the musical performances, the weekend will feature a heartfelt tribute to Ventura County's first responders, celebrating their unwavering commitment to protecting and serving our communities. Tickets are available for each show at three pricing levels: VIP Experience at $75 includes premium seating, artist meet-and-greet, and photo opportunity; Orchestra Seating at $55; and General Admission at $45. To purchase tickets, visit https://bit.ly/legendsofsoul. Service charges are included in all ticket prices; credit card processing fees may apply. Each ticket holder will receive a commemorative program featuring sponsor acknowledgments, artist biographies, and advertising from local supporters. This unforgettable weekend promises a nostalgic journey through the golden eras of funk, Motown, disco, soul, and R&B while supporting a cause that brings nourishment and joy to seniors in need.
