Immersive installations and nostalgic storytelling created memorable moments for fans of all ages
From June 6-7, Disney+ and Hulu transformed Westfield Century City into the Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Mini Mall, a limited-time experiential activation that invited fans to celebrate classic titles and anniversaries such as High School Musical's 20th and Lizzie McGuire's 25th. The retro-inspired mini-mall blended interactive elements and cultural nostalgia to connect audiences with timeless stories.
The experience featured immersive activations highlighting fan-favorite Disney+ and Hulu titles, stories, and characters. These interactive installations sparked instant, shareable moments, transforming the mall into a communal space where generations could make new memories together.
To celebrate the opening, stars - including Glee's Amber Riley and Josh Sussman, High School Musical's Drew Seeley, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder's Paula Jai Parker and That's So Raven's Juliette Goglia - attended a preview of the Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Mini Mall.

Immersive Moments Inspired by Iconic Favorites
Guests were welcomed by the Throwbacks Fountain, serving as a vibrant centerpiece which set the nostalgic tone of the experience. From there, visitors could explore a series of themed activations, each inspired by a variety of Disney+ and Hulu titles.
The Throwbacks Pin-Vending Machine offered guests a collectible takeaway to share their excitement for the fandom and cultural nostalgia through mementos. The Princess Diaries Mattress Slide referenced a beloved moment from the sequel - providing a playful and interactive photo opportunity.
A themed Beauty Salon activation in collaboration with MAC Cosmetics rounded out the experience, featuring visual nods to Hannah Montana, Aquamarine, The Parent Trap, The Cheetah Girls, and Lizzie McGuire. Visitors had the chance to receive professional touch-ups inspired by these iconic early-2000s looks, further immersing themselves in the aesthetics of the era.

Throwbacks
Fans can continue the celebration with the Throwbacks Stream and Throwbacks Collection, available on Disney+. Just like any great sequel, the Throwbacks Stream has returned, giving Premium subscribers access to an all-day marathon of the top 50 Disney Channel Original Movies. Subscribers can also celebrate the 20th anniversaries of cherished titles including 'High School Musical,' 'Hannah Montana,' 'The Devil Wears Prada,' and 'Ugly Betty.'
