Frankfurt-Global law firm Dentons has again advised the German Finance Agency (Bundesrepublik Deutschland - Finanzagentur GmbH) on the successful syndication of a Federal Bond. Via the syndicate, the Federal Government for the first time issued a 20-year Federal Bond. The Federal Bond has an issuance volume of €6.5 billion and carries an interest rate of 3.40%.
The placement with national and international investors was carried out by a syndicate of banks led by Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citi, Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley.
The Dentons team, led by Oliver Dreher, has advised the German Finance Agency on numerous capital market transactions in the past, including the syndicated issues of various conventional and green German federal securities (most recently on the syndicated reopening of an existing federal bond by €4.5 billion, bringing its total volume to €12 billion).
