Oracle Construction and Engineering Recognizes Customers Driving Industry Transformation

Austin, Texas-Jun 30, 2026

At the recent Oracle Customer Edge Summit, Oracle Engineering and Construction announced the winners of its 2026 Excellence Awards, recognizing customers that are driving measurable advancements across project delivery, operational efficiency, and enterprise modernization. This year's honorees, PCL Construction, ExxonMobil, and Powell Industries, demonstrated how leading organizations are leveraging Oracle solutions to modernize their operations, increase collaboration, and strengthen governance across global portfolios.

"Our Customer Edge Summit Award winners exemplify how organizations across construction, engineering, energy, and manufacturing are using Oracle solutions to modernize legacy systems, increase transparency, and drive enterprise-wide transformation," said Mark Webster, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Infrastructure Industries. "By embracing cloud technologies and strengthening collaboration across their ecosystems, PCL Construction, ExxonMobil, and Powell Industries represent the kind of bold thinking and operational excellence that is helping reshape the construction and engineering industry."

Initiative of the Year Award: PCL Construction

PCL Construction received the Initiative of the Year Award for Project Stitch, a large-scale modernization initiative that consolidated 26 separately managed on-premises JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environments into a single cloud platform. This included moving 19 independently administered Oracle Textura Payment Management organizations into a unified environment.

Over its 120-year history, PCL had grown across multiple business units and regions, resulting in a fragmented ERP landscape hosted on aging IBM AS/400 systems. Project Stitch consolidated and converted 480 million records across more than 130 tables, reconciled open account receivables and payables, validated and reconciled fixed assets, and aligned 143 trial balances. The initiative has been described as the single largest IT overhaul in the company's history in terms of complexity and effort.

By consolidating financial entities into a single ERP instance with the support of Syntax, and leveraging Textura to manage subcontractor invoicing, compliance documentation, and electronic payments, PCL has reduced IT complexity, standardized processes, improved cross-border visibility, and enhanced audit readiness.

Innovator Award: ExxonMobil

ExxonMobil received the Innovator Award for its high-impact deployment of Oracle Aconex Construction Management to support capital project execution across its global operations.

One of the world's largest publicly traded energy companies, ExxonMobil has scaled its use of Aconex over the past decade to more than 10,000 active users and >200 global projects.

Prior to implementing Aconex, ExxonMobil's document management processes were manual and heavily relied on third-party systems. By consolidating project document management into a single platform, ExxonMobil and its contractors can now collaborate within one environment for document control, interface management, and governance, while leveraging the Aconex Packages module to group related deliverables into version-controlled packages that help enhance traceability across projects. The organization currently manages more than 40 million documents and drawings in Aconex and successfully migrated more than 4 million documents from legacy systems.

Strategic Vision Award: Powell Industries

Powell Industries received the Strategic Vision Award for its enterprise-wide modernization strategy centered on Oracle Primavera.

A leading industrial manufacturer serving the electrical, instrumentation, and control systems sectors, Powell relies on Primavera P6 as the cornerstone of its project execution framework. Powell has fully integrated Primavera P6 with its broader enterprise ecosystem. This integration automates project financials and drives discrete manufacturing routing operations and demand planning through Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning.

Guided by a strategy of modernization without disruption, Powell successfully migrated from Primavera P6 on-premises, with the support of Broadpin to Primavera P6 SaaS. Since go-live, the company has experienced continuous operational improvements and no unplanned downtime through multiple quarterly upgrade cycles.
