Ecuador Expresses High Appreciation for HM King Mohammed VI’s Leadership in Africa

The Republic of Ecuador reaffirmed on Friday its high appreciation for the Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Africa, lauding the structuring reforms undertaken by Morocco for political, economic, and social development and strengthening its stability and prosperity.

In a Joint Communiqué signed following her meeting in Rabat with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Mr. Nasser Bourita, Ecuadorian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador Ms. Gabriela Sommerfeld also highlighted the Royal Initiatives that promote regional integration, stability, and the development of the continent.

She emphasized the Initiative aiming to provide Sahel countries with access to the Atlantic Ocean, the African Atlantic States Process, as well as the African-Atlantic Gas Pipeline megaproject, which aims to bolster regional integration and stimulate economic development along the African Atlantic coast and beyond.

Sommerfeld further praised Morocco's role as a key player in Africa and a strategic partner in the fight against terrorism, transnational crime, and South-South cooperation.
