BUCKEYE, AZ (October 7, 2025): The Buckeye Police Department was recently awarded nearly $150,000 in traffic safety grants from the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety. A total of four grants will support Buckeye police efforts to educate our community, conduct complete and thorough traffic investigations and address speeding and impaired driving to help prevent deadly and damaging crashes.
The grants, totaling $147,385, were awarded to Buckeye police for FY 2026.
Traffic continues to be a top concern among Buckeye residents. The Buckeye Police Department is committed to keeping our roads safe for all through public education, proactive patrols and focused efforts to prevent and deter unsafe driving behaviors. We are grateful for the continued support of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety.
