ATLANTA - State Representative Floyd Griffin (D-Milledgeville) celebrated the House's recent adoption of House Resolution 1763. Sponsored by Rep. Griffin, this resolution honors the courage, service and sacrifice of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.
"House Resolution 1763 honors the sacrifice of our brave men and women who defend the freedom and security of our nation," said Rep. Griffin. "As a retired combat and Vietnam service member, I am proud to honor our Armed Forces, and in particular, the men and women who have served our country and consider Georgia their home. This resolution also recognizes the family members of our military who contribute to our communities and make sacrifices for our country. I am grateful for the Georgia House's continued support for our service members."
HR 1763, adopted by the Georgia House of Representatives on March 18, seeks to recognize members of the U.S. Armed Forces for their sacrifice to the country and express gratitude to active-duty Georgians and military families.

Representative Floyd Griffin represents the citizens of District 149, which includes portions of Baldwin, Bibb and Jones counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Defense & Veterans Affairs, Special Rules and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
