COLUMBIA FALLS, Maine, and ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Oct. 19, 2026 - Today, national nonprofit Wreaths Across America (WAA) announced that Modern Woodmen of America has renewed its commitment as a national Patriot Partner for the second consecutive year, continuing its support of the organization's yearlong Remember, Honor, Teach mission.
This year, the fraternal financial services organization has committed $420,000 in sponsorship support across 37 participating locations nationwide, helping Modern Woodmen members honor veterans in their local communities on National Wreaths Across America Day, Saturday, Dec. 19, 2026. Modern Woodmen has also committed additional support through WAA's Patriot Pairs program, which provides veterans' wreaths to participating locations based on local sponsorship activity.
"There is something especially meaningful when a partner chooses to come back and deepen its involvement in the mission," said Karen Worcester, executive director of Wreaths Across America. "Modern Woodmen of America understands that this is about so much more than placing a veteran's wreath. It is about bringing people together to remember a life and legacy of service, honor our veterans and their families, and help teach the next generation the value of freedom. We are so grateful for their continued commitment and for the many Modern Woodmen members who will help carry that mission forward in their own communities."

"Our mission is rooted in strengthening local communities and bringing people together for a greater purpose," said Modern Woodmen Chief Fraternal Officer and Vice President Jason Nickles. "The Wreaths Across America mission connects deeply with our own because it honors veterans at the community level, where families live, gather and remember. By supporting this effort, we're not only paying tribute to our nation's heroes but also fostering the sense of unity and service that makes our communities stronger."
National Wreaths Across America Day will be held this year on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2026. The event is free and open to all people. For more information on Wreaths Across America, please visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.
