Hunter Mountain Names Chuck Randles as Vice President and General Manager

HUNTER MOUNTAIN, New York - Tuesday, June 30 - Hunter Mountain announced today the appointment of Chuck Randles as Vice President & General Manager of Hunter Mountain (New York), effective July 15, 2026. Chuck brings more than 20 years of leadership experience with Vail Resorts and a strong track record of operational excellence, team development, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across some of North America's premier mountain destinations.

Chuck most recently served as General Manager of Wilmot Mountain, where he oversaw operations for Wilmot as well as Mount Brighton, Hidden Valley, and Snow Creek. In this role, he built and led high-performing, multi-resort teams while driving collaboration and consistency across the Midwest region.

Over the course of his career, Chuck has held senior leadership roles focused on both hospitality and resort operations, including positions at Keystone, Lake Tahoe resorts, and Park City. His breadth of experience across destination and local resorts uniquely positions him to lead Hunter Mountain, which serves a dynamic mix of local guests, day-trippers, and destination visitors.

"Chuck is a proven leader with a passion for people, operational excellence, and the guest experience," said Tim Baker, Senior Vice President of Vail Resorts' Regional Destination Resorts. "His ability to build strong teams, foster meaningful community connections, and deliver results makes him the ideal leader to honor Hunter Mountain's legacy and build on the resort's strong momentum coming off its most successful season in years."

Throughout his career, Chuck has been recognized for his people-first leadership style and commitment to developing talent. He has played a key role in growing access and inclusion initiatives, including expanding Epic for Everyone programming in the Midwest, helping introduce new communities to skiing and snowboarding.

"It is a true honor to join the Hunter Mountain team and to be part of such a storied and respected resort," said Chuck. "I watched the mountain and team thrive through an incredible snow year and high-energy season, and I look forward to working with the team to build on that momentum while supporting the local community and delivering a great experience for our guests."

A lifelong skier, Chuck brings a deep personal passion for the mountains to his role. He is actively engaged in industry leadership and collaboration, currently serving on the boards of the Midwest Ski Areas Association (MSAA) and SOS Outreach. Chuck and his wife, Sarah, are the proud parents of their five-year-old son, Jack. In their free time, the family - along with their dog, Marshall - enjoys biking, camping, and skiing together. Chuck and his family will relocate to the Catskills later this summer.
