A motorcyclist is deceased following a crash in the Woodlawn Neighborhood.
On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., officers assigned to the Portland Police Bureau's North Precinct responded to reports of a crash in the area of Northeast 15th Avenue and Northeast Lombard Street. When they arrived, officers located a motorcyclist who was suffering from critical, life-threatening injuries following a collision with a vehicle. An ambulance responded to the scene to transport the motorcyclist to an area hospital. While in transit to the hospital, the ambulance was involved in a crash in the area of Northeast Lombard Street and Northeast Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard. A second ambulance responded to that scene to continue transporting the motorcyclist to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite lifesaving measures, the motorcyclist died shortly after arriving at the hospital. In addition, the driver of the vehicle involved in the original crash suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for care.
PPB's Major Crash Team is responding to the scenes to conduct investigations. Traffic will be impacted in both areas.
