Comment period open today - Oct. 6, public meeting Sept. 22
JEFFERSON CITY , M o . - The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold an open-house-style public meeting Tuesday, Sept. 22, to share information and gather public input about proposed safety improvements at multiple Columbia intersections. The meetin g will give community members an opportunity to learn more about the planned work and provide feedback.
The proposed improvements include Missouri Route 763 (College Avenue) at University Avenue and Rollins Street, as well as Boone County Route B (Paris Road) at East Brown Station Road. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.
As part of the design process, MoDOT is providing multiple ways by which interested parties can provide feedback during the open comment period, Sept. 15 - Oct. 6 , 202 6 . The public's input b y comment ing, questioning, and providing community insight is essential in helping to guide the design and construction process.
MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
