An oldie but goodie is back Friday, August 21, with legendary country music group Alabama with special guest Exile. Alabama first played the Iowa State Fair Grandstand back in 1982 and has made 12 other appearances in the past 30 years, most recently in 2017. Alabama is more than a country music band - they are a cornerstone of country music with decades of unforgettable hits such as "Mountain Music," "Dixieland Delight" and "Song of the South."

Tickets for the 2026 Grandstand show go on sale this Friday, April 24, at 10 a.m. For tips and tricks on purchasing tickets, visit iowastatefair.org.
