Holiday Craft & Book Sale on Dec. 6

The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library invite you to the Holiday Craft & Book Sale on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in the Oceanside Civic Center Library Community Room and Courtyard at 330 North Coast Highway. The event features a holiday craft sale with handmade gifts for purchase, an exciting silent auction, as well as a big book sale with most used books on sale for only $1.

The sale opens at 10:00 a.m. to all, but begins early at 9:00 a.m. for Friends of the Oceanside Public Library members. Memberships, starting at $20 per year, are available for purchase at the door.

The Library has creative volunteers, staff, and Friends members who have crafted an array of one-of-a-kind, hand-made gifts and keepsakes to sell. Along with thousands of great bargain books available for purchase, the event will feature hand-crafted items such as holiday home décor, hand crafted cards and stationary, special crocheted and knitted items, creative gift sets, and art. The book sale offers a mix of books and DVDs, all priced at just $1 each. Unique gift books, art works, and puzzles are specially priced, and helpful volunteers will be on-hand to assist attendees in finding and purchasing all the books and crafts they can carry.

The event will also feature a silent auction, where attendees have the opportunity to bid on amazing prizes donated by local business, as well as works by local artists.

Proceeds from memberships and fundraising events such as these make Library programs for all ages possible. The Friends of the Library support everything from purchasing books for the Library's collection to funding events such as storytimes, teen activities, technology assistance, community-centered programming, including Library Club for adults with special needs, Homework Helpers, and cultural celebrations.
