After the holidays wrap up, the City of West Jordan is making it easy for residents to responsibly dispose of real Christmas trees. From Monday, December 29 through Friday, January 30, residents may choose between convenient drop-off locations or scheduled curbside pickup options.
Only natural Christmas trees will be accepted. Trees must be completely free of decorations, including ornaments, lights, tinsel, tree stands, and flocking.
Residents who prefer to drop off their trees can use any of the following locations throughout the entire disposal period, December 29-January 30:
Each site will be equipped with a 30-yard dumpster, and disposal services will be managed by Ace Disposal. Drop-off availability remains unchanged for the full duration, regardless of curbside pickup schedule adjustments.
Residents who choose curbside disposal should be aware that pickup procedures change later in the month. Trees should be placed at the curb on the resident's regular garbage collection day.
During this period, trees will be collected separately from household trash.
Trees will be collected at the same time as regular trash service.
Ace Disposal will not collect any tree over 10 feet in length unless it has been cut in half to allow for safe handling.
If your garbage can or tree was missed during curbside pickup, report it online.
