UNM Big Give 2026: 24 hours to transform Lobo lives

The University of New Mexico hosts UNM Big Give on April 9, a 24-hour celebration of philanthropy that brings together alumni, friends, faculty, staff, Lobos fans, and supporters from around the world. The annual giving day highlights the power of collective giving and supports programs that impact students, research, patient care, and communities across New Mexico.

Beginning at midnight on April 9, donors will have the opportunity to support the schools, colleges, and programs they care about most. Through a series of challenges and matching opportunities, gifts made during UNM Big Give can have an even greater impact, helping unlock additional funds and expand support for key initiatives such as the Student Health and Counseling Center, UNM Grand Challenges, and Patient Care, among many others.

Jeff Todd, President and CEO of the UNM Foundation, shared his excitement for the upcoming event: "UNM Big Give reflects the strength and spirit of the Lobo community. It's a day when generosity turns into opportunity, supporting our students, advancing research, enhancing health care, advancing athletics, and strengthening the programs that serve New Mexico. Every gift helps move UNM forward."

Supporters can participate by visiting unmbiggive.unmfund.org and making a gift to the area of their choice. At the beginning of April, additional opportunities to engage in Big Give will be available through participating UNM Food locations and special campus events.

UNM Big Give continues to grow each year. In 2025, 2,556 alumni and supporters worldwide united to surpass the goal of 2,500 unique contributors. Together, they raised over $1,027,846, setting a new benchmark for the largest single-day fundraising effort in UNM's history. The event also spotlighted collaboration, with UNM Athletics hosting its annual Lobos Give Day with UNM Big Give-this initiative, which supports student-athlete scholarships, raised over $363,130, exceeding its $300,000 target.
