CARLSBAD, Calif., 02 October, 2025 - Viasat Inc., a global leader in satellite communications, today announced new incentives for business aviation operators to adopt its premier JetXP in-flight connectivity service.
The incentive program is aimed at Viasat's Ku-band business aviation customers, offering up to $140,000 per aircraft as a compelling upgrade path to unlock JetXP's vast benefits, such as uncapped speeds, expanded capacity and increased network prioritization. Other service highlights include extensive regulatory approval across the world, including strategic markets such as India and China, plus the concierge customer service and 24/7 support of Viasat's trusted business aviation distribution partners - Collins Aerospace, Gogo and Honeywell.
Available for a limited time, the incentives apply to Viasat Ku-band customers that transition to JetXP using the existing Gogo Plane Simple Ka-band or Honeywell JetWave terminals, or the upcoming Honeywell JetWave X.
Kai Tang, Head of Business Aviation at Viasat, said: "Our mission is simple. We want to connect operators of large cabin and super midsized jets - whether flying domestically or across the globe - with more flexible and affordable service plans using JetXP, the most advanced business aviation service we've ever offered.
"This includes customers using our legacy Ku-band service, which will sunset in September 2026. We have invested in these major incentives, alongside our partners, to reward their long-term loyalty and provide a cost-effective upgrade path that keeps them in the Viasat family. We've already seen strong uptake from customers and encourage others to contact their preferred MRO for more information about the fly-away pricing."
JetXP was launched under a year ago, bringing together the legacy Jet ConneX and Viasat Ka services under one unified brand, with more than 2,100 customers now in place worldwide. It has been developed following extensive consultation with customers, partners and research agencies. The results, together with detailed analysis of usage trends, indicated that expectations around business aviation connectivity have evolved considerably. Traditional speed-based plans are now outdated and instead, customers have broadened their focus to the overall experience, which is JetXP's key differentiator.
As part of the service offering, Viasat has increased capacity density, network flexibility and redundancy in key regions around the world, including the United States, where an estimated 65% of global business jet traffic originates. Earlier this month, five times more capacity was introduced for JetXP across the Eastern United States in direct response to specific market requirements, with a phased nationwide expansion now underway. By introducing additional new Ka-band layers such as this, customers benefit from an even greater and more resilient connectivity experience, supporting data-hungry applications - such as high-definition video conferencing, content streaming and generative AI - on multiple devices at the same time.
Tang added: "Business aviation customers expect connectivity that mirrors their experience on the ground, not just in speed, but also in reliability, flexibility, and global reach. With JetXP, we are harnessing the full power of our global Ka-band network, offering more capacity where it matters most, while delivering the concierge-level service, support and regulatory approvals this market demands."
