11/06/2026 - 2026 Sidewalk Repair – Nightwork

2026 Sidewalk Repair - Nightwork
The 2026 Sidewalk Repair Project is creating a safer more accessible Olympia. With construction comes disruptions to parking and access but all businesses will remain open during construction.

To limit construction impacts to businesses the City's contractor will at times work in the early morning, early evening, or at night.

Weather permitting, the contractor is expected to move to nightwork on Monday, November 9th. While on nights, work will start in the early evening. All loud demolition work will stop by midnight. Night work will start at the corner of 4th and Eastside and then move to 4th between Water and Columbia.

Additionally, Puget Sound Energy will continue to relocate a gas line at Washington during the day.

What to expect:
  • Construction noise associated with heavy equipment.
  • A vehicle lane will be closed on 4th and on Washington to provide a safe work area.
  • Minor traffic delays.

The City appreciates the community's patience and cooperation while this work is completed.
