Early Voting for the November 3 General Election Begins Friday, September 18

Early voting for the November 3, 2026, General Election for United States Senate, the 7th District United States House of Representatives seat, three proposed Virginia Constitutional Amendments and a local referendum begins on Friday, September 18, 2026, and ends on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Registrar's Office.

REMINDER: The General Registrar's Office is located at 124 Old Potomac Church Road, Suite 205, Stafford, VA 22554.

You may request a mail-in ballot from the General Registrar until 5 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026.

All early voting will be available at 124 Old Potomac Church Road, Suite 205, Stafford, VA 22554. There will be NO early voting available at the George L. Gordon, Jr., Government Center. Early voting is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., from September 18, 2026, through October 31, 2026. It will also be available on two Saturdays before the election - October 24, 2026, and October 31, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. There will also be Early Voting on two Sundays before the election - October 18, 2026, and October 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Important Dates for the November 3, 2026, General Election are listed below.

  • September 18, 2026 - Early Voting Begins
  • October 23, 2026 - Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot by Mail
  • October 23, 2026 - Last Day to Register or Make Changes to Existing Voter Registration
  • October 18, 2026, and October 25, 2026 - Sunday Early Voting from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
  • October 24, 2026, and October 31, 2026 - Saturday Early Voting from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • October 31, 2026 - Last Day for Early Voting
  • Please note there will be no Early Voting on October 12 in observance of Columbus Day

Absentee Ballot Drop Boxes are available during early voting hours and at the Registrar's Office during normal business hours from September 18, 2026, through 7 pm on November 3, 2026. A drop box will be available at all polling locations on November 3, 2026, from 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

The deadline for a mailed ballot postmarked by Election Day to be received by the office is noon on Friday, November 6, 2026. If you are returning a ballot by mail within a week of

Election Day, it is recommended that you take the ballot inside the Post Office and have the clerk postmark the envelope. The Post Office does not guarantee mail is postmarked the day it is received if put in a mailbox.
