403rd AFSB Personality Spotlight: Mr. Lim, Ha-song, AFSBn-NEA

DAEGU, South Korea - Mr. Lim, Ha-song, heavy mobile equipment mechanic, Army Field Support Battalion-Northeast Asia Maintenance Division, was selected as a 403rd Army Field Support Brigade's Personality Spotlight for his precision, professionalism and sustained contributions to equipment readiness.

A native of Daegu, Lim has supported the U.S. Army mission since February 2008. Over the past 18 years, he has served as a heavy mobile equipment mechanic, helping ensure tactical vehicles and combat systems remain fully mission capable.

In his current role, Lim conducts preventive maintenance checks and services in accordance with technical manuals, identifies equipment issues and performs repairs to maintain systems in the best possible condition for immediate combat readiness.

"Precision maintenance requires dedication, and Mr. Lim delivers exactly that," said Cho, Dae-hyeon, logistics management specialist, Maintenance Division, AFSBn-NEA. "Specializing in advanced agricultural washing procedures, Mr. Lim ensures that every M109A6 Paladin system is meticulously cleaned and preserved down to the smallest interior and exterior component."

Cho also highlighted Lim's recent work during a major retrograde mission, where he completed agricultural washes on 40 M109A6 Paladin systems within a three-week period. The effort directly supported maintenance operations and demonstrated the critical role he plays in sustaining readiness.

"His consistent professionalism and high-quality workmanship have directly elevated the section's maintenance standards and boosted overall operational readiness," Cho said.

Lim said one of his proudest accomplishments has been identifying battery-related issues on vehicles stored in the warehouse and determining whether the problem stemmed from the vehicle itself or the battery. By conducting targeted maintenance, he helped extend battery life and reduce costs.

He said the best part of his job is the ability to solve difficult problems through teamwork.

"When a difficult problem comes up, the best thing is being able to work together with team members to solve it," Lim said.

Outside of work, Lim enjoys traveling and riding bicycles.

As a member of AFSBn-NEA's Maintenance Division, Lim continues to play an important role in supporting the battalion's mission through dependable maintenance, technical expertise and a strong commitment to readiness.
