Key performance indicators in the Clean Industrial Deal

Key performance indicators in the Clean Industrial Deal

14.1.2026

Priority question for written answer P-000126/2026
to the Commission
Rule 144
Christian Ehler (PPE)

On 26 February 2025, the Commission presented the Clean Industrial Deal as a follow-up to the European Green Deal. The Clean Industrial Deal includes multiple pillars and respective action plans, all of which are to be measured against the achievement of certain key performance indicators (KPIs), which are set for each pillar. Some of the KPIs include hard deadlines, some do not.

  • 1.What internal processes and methodologies has the Commission set up to measure each individual KPI set out in the Clean Industrial Deal, and to follow up on progress regarding their achievement, including through potential additional necessary actions in cases where the KPIs are not expected to be achieved?
  • 2.By when does the Commission expect to reach each of the KPIs for which no deadlines have been set (both KPIs on lead markets, the KPI on public and private investment and the KPI on skills)?
  • 3.What progress has been made so far on each of the KPIs?
