President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan participated in the opening of the first Prayer Breakfast in Armenia and delivered the opening remarks.
Opening remarks by the President of the Republic of Armenia at the first Prayer Breakfast in Armenia:
"I wholeheartedly welcome all of you on the occasion of the launch of this conference in the Republic of Armenia.
This initiative is an important and symbolic event that brings together representatives of political, diplomatic, economic, social and spiritual life. It proves that the strength of a state is measured not only by its economic or military indicators, but also by its moral and spiritual foundations.
Armenia, as the world's first Christian state, has always drawn strength from faith and values throughout its history. In difficult times, what preserved us was not only our courage, but also the conviction that a state is stable to the extent that its value foundations are stable - the ideas devoted to the human being, justice, freedom and responsibility.
Today, when our region stands on the path of new opportunities and peace, it is important that we build this path not through force or coercion, but on the basis of respect, trust and universal moral principles.
Platforms like this for prayer, reflection and open dialogue, have a special significance. They remind us that different opinions and beliefs can unite around a common purpose - for the sake of solidarity and a peaceful future.
The harmony of spiritual and secular principles is the foundation upon which a modern, democratic and trustworthy state can be built. Democracy is viable only when freedom is accompanied by responsibility, when power is guided by the consciousness of service, and when law is based on moral principles.
Today, I would like to express my special gratitude to the authors of this initiative for your work and dedication. This format is a reminder that between the state and society there exists not only a political, but also a moral connection based on mutual respect and trust.
May this event become a new beginning on the path of unity of our people, moral renewal, and a harmony led by faith and dignified peace.
I thank all organizers and participants for your participation and your contribution of ideas.
I wish productive discussions, inspiring interactions and new collaborations for the sake of our state, our people and the values that unite us."
