CTIA Statement on Presidential Memorandum on Spectrum

"The wireless industry commends President Trump's clear direction today to identify a 'significant volume' of spectrum to lead the world in wireless, AI, and emerging technologies. The President's announcement represents a bold roadmap for next-generation wireless leadership, pairing domestic action and unified diplomatic engagement. That commitment starts with 275 megahertz of spectrum identified today for future commercial use, a critical downpayment that will help create jobs, strengthen our economy, and bolster America's global competitiveness. We also applaud today's action to ensure the timely and focused study of two additional key bands-2.7 GHz and 4 GHz. Next-generation wireless will require large, contiguous blocks of spectrum to unlock the capabilities the President identified as critical for our global leadership, and we look forward to working with the Administration and the FCC to build on this strong start and deliver for the American people."
