Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Wepa Hygieneprodukte GmbH, a leading European, family-owned producer and supplier of tissue products, in connection with a successful €500 million offering of 4.500% senior secured notes due 2032.
Wepa used the proceeds from the offering to redeem in full the €400 million outstanding principal amount of its 2.875% senior secured notes due 2027, to pay certain costs, fees and expenses incurred in connection with the offering, and for general corporate purposes.
The cross-border, cross-practice Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by London-based high yield and leveraged finance partner Bernd Bohr and included Frankfurt-based Head of Banking and Finance, Germany, Bernhard Fiedler; senior associates Florian Fraunhofer (Frankfurt) and Miriam Kaufmann (London); and associates Riccardo Perris (London), Micah McDonald (London) and Kristina Thielemann (Frankfurt). German tax support was provided by tax partner Simon Weppner (Duesseldorf) and senior tax associate Sarah Heufelder (Munich).
High yield and leveraged finance partner Bernd Bohr commented:
"It has been a privilege to be able to assist the amazing Wepa team on yet another successful high yield bond offering that will give the company significant additional flexibility to further its growth strategy. It has also been fantastic to have had yet another opportunity to leverage the expertise and resources of our network to deliver an outcome and level of service for our client that is second to none."
Bernhard Fiedler, Head of Banking and Finance, Germany, added:
"This transaction represents not just another impressive milestone for our client Wepa, but also a further example of how we can leverage the large geographic footprint and full-service nature of our firm, working seamlessly across offices and practice groups, to consistently deliver successful outcomes for our clients across the full capital structure."
